現在我が国ではクラシックカーを主役とした様々な大会が日本各地で開催されています。それらのイヴェントの多くは、1997年から我々が培ってきた秋の“La Festa”の規則、競技細則を踏襲しています。
我々はクラシックカーイヴェントが決してブームではなく、文化として認知されることに加え、クラシックカーが文化遺産として次世代まで引き継がれることを目標にイヴェントを構築してきました。
“La Festa”は3つの笑顔を求めます。それは参加者の笑顔、観客の笑顔、スタッフの笑顔です。4日間の長い道のりを古い車が走り切る事は容易ではなく、想定外の車の故障、悪天候など笑顔が消えることもありますが、完走した参加者にとって様々な試練を乗り越えゴールした瞬間に笑顔が戻り、また、辛かった体験が多いほど、それは楽しかった記憶として刻まれます。
イヴェントを続けるためには、この3つの笑顔を求める姿勢が大切です。
さらに”La Festa”は3つの笑顔に加えて3つの理念を掲げています。
それは、主役の“古い車に敬意”を払い、参加者はいくつ歳を重ねても“少年の心”を失わず、大会に関わるすべての人々ど“友情の輪”を広げるという理念であり”LaFesta”の重要な基本精神です。

Currently various events that feature classic cars are being held all over Japan. Many of these events follow the rules and competition details of “La Festa”, which we have been creating every autumn since 1997.
We have organized the event with the goal that classic car events should never end as a fad, but can be recognized as a cultural heritage and transmitted to the next generation as such.
By organizing La Festa we look for smiles: smiles of participants, smiles of spectators, smiles of the engaged staff.
It is not easy for old cars to complete the long road during the four days scheduled for the race. Therefore people’s smiles may disappear due to unexpected car breakdowns or bad weather.
However it is their smile that will remain as the best reward for participants who will complete the race: that smile will stay in their memory at the moment they cross the finish line after overcoming various challenges during the competition.
I think that the best way to ensure holding this type of events in the future stays in seeking these three categories of smiles.
In addition to that, “La Festa” also has three essential principles: “Respect for old cars”, “No matter how old you are, you are young at heart” and “Expanding friendship through the engagement on everyone involved in the event.”
We will never forget the words of Prince His Imperial Highness Prince Tomohito, the first honorary chairman of La Festa, who said, “Please carry on the torch of this tradition without letting it go out.”
